The Second International Competition of Culinary Art “Taste of Life” took place on the 15th of May, 2007 on the island Crete. In competition took part the teams of victuallers from Serbia, Azerbaijan, Ukraine and Greece.
The team of Ukraine was represented by the professionals in restaurant business of Dnipro Hotel Among them there were talented chef Vyacheslav Grybov, the cooks of the 6th category Olexander Khamazenko, Valeriy Mengeresh and Olexiy Didok.




The final of competition with Grand Prix handing to the winners took place on May, 15. The victory of Ukrainian team, headed by V. Grybov, didn’t become a surprise for anybody. Except the main prize of the competition our team owned two golden medals in the nomination “The Dish from Mutton” (Valeriy Mengeresh) and “The Original Main Dish” (Olexiy Didok), three silver medals in the nominations “The Gold Chef of the Year” (Valeriy Mengeresh) , “The Dish from Fish” (Olexiy Didok), “Vegeterian Dish” (Olexander Khamazenko) and one bronze in the nomination “ Modern Cuisine” (Olexander Khamazenko).



Mass Media of the island focused its attention mostly on our team. Interviews, round tables, discussions of possibility of conducting the master classes in Kiev were those not numerous fragments of bright and triumphal staying of the Dnipro restaurant team on sunny and hospitable island Crete.
